Jason Leyva
Jason Leyva hails from McAlester, Oklahoma. After discovering drama and speech at a young age, he never looked back as he began a career that has spanned over 20 years. After being educated in the arts in Oklahoma and spending each of those years as a performer and educator in the Oklahoma City artistic community, Jason and some like-minded individuals created Leyva's Independent Productions also known as L.I.P. Service. The purpose was to create, perform and enjoy the type of art that they most enjoyed. L.I.P. Service premièred to acclaim and had a successful run with productions such as Zoo Story, The Dumb Waiter, Burn This, Buried Child, Sex, Drugs and Rock-n-Roll , Boys Life, True West, and The Eight.
After the successful launch of L.I.P. Service, Jason was called to Maryland to work for the Six Flags theme parks as an Entertainment Manager,
Performer/Director and Stunt Choreographer. After spending over 10 years in the theme park industry, Jason took his unique style of performing and entertainment management to .......a dude ranch of course.
Jason and his family spent over seven years creating a unique Entertainment Department for a destination resort and dude ranch in Michigan.
While at "The Ranch" he spent his time creating and producing various productions including plays, stunt shows, dinner theater, children's theater,
musicals, and Wild West Shows while organizing and maintain over 200 staff, a water park, activities department, event planning and AV
coordination for the entire resort.
Jason has recently returned to the D/FW area and is the current Technical Director at the Artisan Center Theater in Hurst, TX Since returning to his roots;
L.I.P. Service has flourished with an ever growing repertoire of projects from classes, to set design, to performances alike.
